Clarity beats volume. The best pitch materials make a story easy to understand, imagine and champion.
A pitch is not a summary of everything in the book. It is a focused argument for why the story works on screen.
The essential materials usually include a logline, a short synopsis, a one-sheet and, where appropriate, a pitch deck or treatment.
Tone matters. Materials should reflect the genre and emotional register of the story as much as its plot.
